Wes Rolls Over

Wes has been on a roll lately. Unfortunately, this is the only footage we have...and it kind of looks like we're cheating! But when he is on the bed, he will get up on his arms (by himself) and after a few squeaks, he will roll over!

First Night Away from Wesley

Ok, so it was only a few hours, and I stressed all week about it...where should our friend, Channel watch him, should he come with us; back and forth I went! By the time we got in the car to leave, we felt we had made the best decision and left him at home with one of the best sitters we could have asked for! We had a great time...me especially! Channel even came to pick us up and drive us home when we were ready! How's that for service! Wesley did just fine and didn't even seem to miss us!

Little Ladies Man

I think we have a charmer on our hands! Look at the chubs under that cute shirt from Auntie Cheyna!

Playgroup

How sweet is this? The friends in Wes' playgroup are all under 7 months old, with only one little girl in the bunch! I was so tickled to see Wes watch the other babies. He laughed, smiled and talked most of the hour while the mommies talked and laughed at our little angels! We decided to take pics every so often so we could compare! Most of the babies will be here 2 more years with us, but all will be here until the summer! It was truly an amazing experience to see his social personality; I loved him even more as we drove home! Wes is the older of the 3 little ones, by one week and about 5 weeks! Can't wait until our next group on Friday-it is soooo much fun! If you click once on the picture, you can see them up close! Notice his chubs!!!

Here a moo,
there a moo;

Everywhere a moo-moo!

Part of our routine is to go for a walk with the dogs everyday to expend their energy. We now know what the dogs rolled in all winter and spring, as the farmers have moved the cows into the fields on our walking road! It's so funny, because the cows follow us along the road. It's not so funny because the dogs like to bark and chase the cows. The only thing separating us from those we eat is a little electric fence that they could definitely break through! I'm not even convinced it is working, since the dogs hit it frequently and don't show any signs of zapping! So far so good though!!

11 week birthday

Things I do at 11 weeks...
smile, suck on my hands, talk, sleep, cry, eat, poop up my back, pee on my mommy, swing, play under my gym, look all around, go for walks, take a tubby, sneeze, sleep with my people in the morning, go to playgroup, spend a few hours with a babysitter while mom and dad go to the ball...that's the plan at least!!

10 weeks old!

Tummy Time

Gram Comes Back to Germany!

We had so much fun with Gram...so sad to see her leave! We went to the flea market in Belgium, to Bernkastel, IKEA, the Dr. in Landstuhl, more shopping, Brugge, out for dinners and more!! Sure can't wait to see her again! We miss you Gram! Thank you for decorating our home and for everthing else!

Such a Big Boy!!

For some reason, Wes seemed like such a big boy in his overalls!

Sleepy Time

I could just eat these boys up!!

Brugge, Belgium

This weekend we went to Brugge, which is in northwest Belgium near the North Sea. The most special part was that mom was with us! We loved the city, which is fairly small and quite quaint. The architecture is beautiful! We took a boat ride through the canals, walked all around, and had a delicious dinner! Our little Wes is almost 6 weeks old, and he's getting some chubs!

Switzerland

Over the weekend, we drove down to Switzerland to visit a few places. Our first stop was at a gas station, where we decided to eat dinner. We quickly learned how expensive the country is to visit...our diner dinner was $40!! Similar to England, the Swiss have a strong currency! Next we went to Lucerne, which was full of excitement, as they were in the midst of the "Blue Balls" festival--whatever that means, we never asked! The pic of me and Wes is in Lucerne. The next day, we went to Interlocken. The drive through the mountains was absolutely gorgeous! The middle pic is a town on our way there, and the bottom is the smaller of the two lakes in Interlocken. This location is by far the closest I've come to being able to compare the Tetons and Jackson Hole to something! On our way to the hotel in Strasburg, France, we stopped in the Swiss capitol, Bern, and walked around. The next day, we drove through the Black Forest in Germany! It wasn't quite what we expected, as the story Hansel and Gretel scared both of us as children!
