First real meal--caught on tape

Here is the video that goes with the pictures below...

Auntie Kristi Visit

Two weekends ago Wes got to meet his Auntie Kristi for the first time. Kristi was returning from a 10 day trip to Egypt, and we visited her during an overnight layover in Frankfurt. We got to hear a ton of great stories about her trip, and Wes was kind enough to fall asleep in her arms during lunch.

During his nap, Wes decided to show Kristi his newly learned D.J. skills. Here, he shows her how he pumps music from the 1s and 2s.

Here, he shows Kristi how to lead the crowd and "put your hands in the air!"

Here, he is just showing off, letting Auntie Kristi know "which way to the beach"

He Likes It!

What a big boy!!! Wes had his first taste of rice cereal last night! He had quite the audience of three generations of Vrabecs, our wonderful friends! He did really well and even opened his mouth for a few tastes! He thought it was all pretty funny, until the end, when he was ready for it to be over! When I nursed him right after, he made squeaky noises that sounded like he was saying "what is going on" and "I'm so glad to have my mommy to feed me milk"! It was pretty sweet!

Our Little Guy

Play Time

We've had a pretty small group lately, as many of our friends are back in the states and on vacations! The younger 3 were together last time, and Mitchell came over to our house to play for a little while.

Bath Time

I'm ready for bed now....here's how I got there!
Daddy comes home, has dinner and takes me to his room. He lays me on the bed and makes me tell him all about my day. He takes almost all the laughs out of me...then he takes my clothes off!
He's still talking to me, but then he gets on the floor with me and puts my in my warm tubby for some fun times!
I found my toes this week! Daddy holds them up for me, because if he doesn't, he knows he'll get very wet from my splashing!
Almost ready now! Mommy gives me a massage and puts on my pjs...then we all snuggle in bed until I'm fast asleep!

Wes is doing some new things these days! Daddy can get him to laugh...giggle laugh! I try all day and I get really sweet noises and smiles, but I guess I'm not "funny" to him! He has also rolled over from his back to tummy, and will scoot all around on his side! John went to get him from his crib the other night and his feet were where his head originated! He seems to like sleeping with this range of movement...he slept until 7am last night!

chubby legs! and arms!

we still can't get over this cute shirt!
love the hat!
thanks auntie deb for my new seat!

12 Weeks Old

Milk Coma!!

2 Month Check-up...at 12 weeks

On September 17, Wes had his 2 month check-up. Our friends Pam and Sir Mitchell came along for some moral support around shot time! We are happy to report that all is well with our little guy. Without his diaper on, he weighed 12lbs 10oz and he is 22in long! He did so well with his shots; the crying stopped before I got him back into his clothes. He ran a little fever that night, but other than that, he was just fine!

Wes Rolls Over

Wes has been on a roll lately. Unfortunately, this is the only footage we have...and it kind of looks like we're cheating! But when he is on the bed, he will get up on his arms (by himself) and after a few squeaks, he will roll over!

First Night Away from Wesley

Ok, so it was only a few hours, and I stressed all week about it...where should our friend, Channel watch him, should he come with us; back and forth I went! By the time we got in the car to leave, we felt we had made the best decision and left him at home with one of the best sitters we could have asked for! We had a great time...me especially! Channel even came to pick us up and drive us home when we were ready! How's that for service! Wesley did just fine and didn't even seem to miss us!

Little Ladies Man

I think we have a charmer on our hands! Look at the chubs under that cute shirt from Auntie Cheyna!

Playgroup

How sweet is this? The friends in Wes' playgroup are all under 7 months old, with only one little girl in the bunch! I was so tickled to see Wes watch the other babies. He laughed, smiled and talked most of the hour while the mommies talked and laughed at our little angels! We decided to take pics every so often so we could compare! Most of the babies will be here 2 more years with us, but all will be here until the summer! It was truly an amazing experience to see his social personality; I loved him even more as we drove home! Wes is the older of the 3 little ones, by one week and about 5 weeks! Can't wait until our next group on Friday-it is soooo much fun! If you click once on the picture, you can see them up close! Notice his chubs!!!

Here a moo,
there a moo;

Everywhere a moo-moo!

Part of our routine is to go for a walk with the dogs everyday to expend their energy. We now know what the dogs rolled in all winter and spring, as the farmers have moved the cows into the fields on our walking road! It's so funny, because the cows follow us along the road. It's not so funny because the dogs like to bark and chase the cows. The only thing separating us from those we eat is a little electric fence that they could definitely break through! I'm not even convinced it is working, since the dogs hit it frequently and don't show any signs of zapping! So far so good though!!
